Gown Introduction

"Creating gowns is a lot like dancing. You feel the fabric as you do music and work with what you're given in order to produce a feeling shown through product that you appreciate. The moment you design for other's approval, you surrender your artistic signature. We need diversity and innovation from young artists and designers. We must stray from encouraging artists to compromise their creative strengths."

"I feel so blessed to have met Michael Costello from Season 8 Project Runway.  We met up after his fashion show in the twin cities. He is such an inspiration in the industry and I respect his talent immensely."

Meeting Michael Costello

"I created this gown for the old Hollywood glamazon. Originally, this dress was an old ice skating uniform at a local thrift store. Upon first glance, I knew I had to bring her home and reinvent her flavor. I cut it apart and rebeaded, removed sleeves, and created a dress shape from the extra fabric. I wore this to a drag queen red carpet event to where I received requests for purchase. Since then, its become a passion of mine."

The Black Daliah

Designer Michael Costello from Season 8 of Project Runway

"This form fitting halter gown was designed for a bride who wanted a straight forward dress as she was going to wear a large voluminous veil. I wanted to keep the dress simple with a splash of dazzle.              -Lindsay

"As my roots are in the Midwest, I wanted to design a dress that spoke to the winter bride who wanted a fairy tale, structured, princess style. I wanted to channel Bell from Beauty and the Beast with riding the line between bridal fashion and fantasy. I wanted structure and floor length."
